Where the hurt & the Healer Collide

I’m trying to get back to original purpose of this blog- health & home! However, recent spiritual growth and life changes sometimes get me off track.

It’s so hard to see the poverty. I hope I never get used to it, though. Hurting nevers feels good, but it allows us to have compassion for one another. Wasn’t my prayer before to God, “Break my heart for what breaks Your’s?” Amen.

Chorus 2

It’s the moment when humanity
Is overcome by majesty
When grace is ushered in for good
And all our scars are understood

When mercy takes its rightful place
And all these questions fade away
When out of weakness we must bow
And hear you say “It’s over now”

Excerpt from “The Hurt & the Healer” by “Mercy Me”

Micah 6:8

New International Version (NIV)

8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God.

It’s unfortunate that you have to see so much poverty at work. But, it’s good that you are doing work to help out those in need. Jesus said “I came to serve, not to be served.” You are definitely serving! 🙂
